Peter Hillman, CEO

Peter is the founder and CEO of PH Insurance Recruitment and heads the executive search and selection function of the business. With over 35 years' experience in the insurance sector, Peter has developed an impressive network of contacts, enabling him to continue to place senior individuals and teams into new positions.

Identifying a gap in the insurance recruitment sector for genuinely bespoke, end-to-end senior executive appointments, coupled with employment advisory services, Peter established PH Insurance Recruitment in April 2012. The business today represents a select number of clients and assists top quality candidates to find new opportunities.

Prior to setting up PH Insurance Recruitment, Peter was a founding partner of insurance and financial services recruitment consultants, Hillman Saunders, where he built a successful and well-regarded business employing over 50 staff in London and Manchester. Previously, he was a London market insurance recruiter and began his career in London, working for a prominent insurance broker specialising in North American wholesale business.

Louise Piner, Assoc CIPD, Operations Director

Louise Piner is Operations Director of PH Insurance Recruitment and heads Advisory Services for the business. She is also a Director of LXPC Ltd, a boutique HR Advisory Services Consultancy that she founded in 2013.

With 30 years' experience in HR services for the insurance sector, Louise is a promoter of best practice and delivers innovative solutions when dealing with challenging and contentious and non-contentious HR issues.

Previously, Louise was Co-Partner of HR consultancy, Sapient Consulting. Prior to that, she acted as a Consultant to small-medium sized Lloyd's broking firms which did not have a dedicated qualified HR resource. She has also worked in an HR capacity in the personnel department of Marsh & McLennan, and started her insurance career in 1989 at Sedgwick Group.

Louise is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Terry Hallam, Associate, Advisory Services

Terry is a PH Insurance Recruitment Associate. He has over 40 years' experience in Human Resources and Operational Management and remains actively involved in HR matters associated with mediation and career management.

Prior to joining PH Insurance Recruitment, Terry was a founding director of occupational health service provider, Active Work Solutions Limited. There, he provided income protection insurers with dispute resolution and vocational rehabilitation services until its sale to Form Health (UK) Limited in 2015. Previously, he was part of the founding team of Sapient HR Consulting, providing specialist HR and compliance services to London insurance market brokers and syndicates. In 1998, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Price Forbes Limited where he assisted the development of the business to become a major force in the Lloyd's insurance market.

Terry commenced his insurance sector career at Sedgwick Group in the 1980's. He worked initially as HR Manager for the Northern region, before relocating to London to take up the appointment of HR Controller for Sedgwick Broking Services, and then HR Director of Sedgwick Payne.

He is a freelance management consultant to LXPC and Form Health, and a retired member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA).

Keith Fenwick, Senior Advisor, Executive Search

Keith is a Senior Advisor to PH Insurance Recruitment and has over 35 years’ insurance sector experience at an executive level. He has an impressive track record in managing businesses and improving operations and work practices.

Prior to joining PH Insurance Recruitment, Keith was Non-Executive Director, Insurance at Management Consultant, JDX. Previously, he held various senior executive roles at Marsh Global Group; including Chief Executive of Guy Carpenter UK; COO of Marsh’s financial and professional businesses, and he sat on the Global Management Board. He was the founding COO for JLT Re.
